If you live in the Juan de Fuca constituency and your concern is with the provincial government, we are here to help you. If you are not sure which constituency you live in, enter your postal code in the MLA finder.
What we can help you with:
- Providing information on government services and assisting with navigating through government bureaucracy and understanding government policies and services.
- Providing government documents and legislation and web-based forms if you don't have internet access.
- Investigating issues you may be having with provincial government ministries or agencies and ensuring due process is being followed.
- Providing congratulatory messages - see Protocol & Events for more information.
Some things are out of our jurisdiction:
- If you have retained a lawyer to represent you pertaining to your case, if your matter is pending or before the courts, or if the police are involved. If you have a complaint about police conduct, you can direct it to the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner (for municipal police) or the Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP.
- We are unable to influence the process of bodies that are independent of the Legislature -- such as the Ombudsman, Police Complaints Commissioner, or the Representative for Children and Youth.
How to get help:
Phone my office and make an appointment. Please prepare copies of any and all documents that pertain to your issue. If you don't have access to a photocopier, my office can make copies of all documents. You will also be asked to sign a Personal Authorization Form, giving my staff permission to make inquires on your behalf. Without your authorization, we cannot investigate your case.
