Re: "Climate change budget a green wash," MLA Report, March 5, 2008.

Thanks to John Horgan for exposing the Gordon Campbell government's green initiatives for the sham it really is - whether it's subsidies for oil and gas exploration or the deaf ear turned to West Shore resident's desire for light rail transit.

There are so many areas where this government could institute real and meaningful policies that would have an impact on the disaster that is becoming global warming while they continue to take bows for environmental consciousness now that it has become a popular issue in the minds of voters.

One area where they could create real change in a couple of areas would be to designate the property transfer tax, a cash cow for the government, to developers creating "green" developments and building low income housing.
